Underutilized Seafood Dinner to Benefit Maritime Gloucester

As much as we hate to think about it, a lot of the seafood that was once associated with Gloucester is now no longer actually landed here. That said, there are still many, tasty species of fish that are caught off of Gloucester’s shores.

Latitude 43 and Maritime Gloucester have teamed up again for the Second Annual Maritime Gloucester Dinner to showcase underutilized, local seafood. The four-course menu highlights the fresh seafood and each course is thoughtfully paired with “underutilized” wine varietals, to offer new ideas for seafood & wine pairings.

The dinner will be held on Tuesday, May 19th at 6:30 PM at Latitude 43. Please call (978.281.0223) for reservations as space is limited.

A portion of the evening’s proceeds will go to benefit the Maritime Gloucester.

North Shore Bakes for Breast Cancer!

Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer raises money for breast cancer care and research through delicious dessert-filled events.

For the second year in a row, the Serenitee Restaurant Group, including Alchemy and Latitude 43 in Gloucester, is participating in the week-long event.  For the event, each restaurant has created their own special dessert, like Latitude 43’s BRA-zilian Panna Cotta, and 100% of the sales from that dessert will go directly to Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer.

To participate, all you have to do is come in to Latitude 43, Alchemy or one of the other participating restaurants and order the special dessert. It’s that simple!

Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer will be held Monday, May 4 through Sunday, May 10, 2015.

Last year, Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer had almost 350 participants in over 100 Massachusetts communities and raised over $78,000. Let’s make this year even better!

Click here for more dessert info.

Alchemy will feature a Chocolate Swiss Roll with chocolate mousse, fresh raspberries and raspberry coulis.

Latitude will offer the BRA-zilian Panna Cotta with coconut, cinnamon, dulce de leche and caramelized bananas.
